Ghana Benefit

We are putting together a benefit evening to raise money for Radio Peace a small community radio station in West Africa. The station is absolutely vital to the community it serves, it provides in most cases the only means of keeping up to date with local as well as national news. More than that it provides education, the promotion of safe sex in an aids ridden world, adult learning for those who never had the opportunity to attend school, entertainment for the vast majority of people who cant afford a television. In fact televisions are a luxury most people find beyond their grasp in this community however they do have access to a radio. They may not be able to read a newspaper but they still have access to a radio. Radio take on all these roles and has become totally indespensable. Radio Peace is even more crucial because it provides the only training facilty in west africa, to school the next generation and ensure that local radio continues its important work.

The benefit will be an exciting evening of entertainment, singing, dancing, and drama as well as an amazing performance by Yokel Jugglers!
